IT ALL STARTED BECAUSE OF A JOKE
In December of 2022, an Athletic Director approached me with the comment, "I wish I could clone your voice so you could be here more."
We chuckled and went on about our night. Later, while sitting on my couch, I started writing down ideas, making phone calls, running the idea by other Indianapolis-area AD's. This vision was a possibility. In 3 months, Virtual Announcer was a basic idea.
In the summer of 2023, our Gameday Music platform was created, which leads us to November, 2023 and the creation of Mic'd Up. Three days later, our first client came aboard, Austin HS in southeast Indiana.

Mic'd Up exists because of a joke, and a vision:​​ “The importance of providing a consistent and repeatable sports entertainment audio experience for every student athlete, regardless of their level of play, sport popularity, or gender, at our high school athletic events.”
Mic'd Up Network
Central to our mission is the Mic'd Up Network, an assembly of announcers from the NCAA, NBA, WNBA, MLB, MiLB, and NHL.
This network boasts the largest selection of professional announcers available in the market. We specialize in professional development, management, and the delivery of top-tier public address announcing services for interscholastic athletic programs and their administrators.
By harnessing the expertise and voices of our Mic'd Up Network, we ensure a professional, reliable, and consistent audio experience for the athletic program. Coupled with cutting-edge gameday technology, we aim to provide an unparalleled solution for administrators and student athletes alike. Our latest innovation, the Virtual Announcer, is designed to fulfill the dream of providing every student athlete with the Game 7 experience by delivering memorable moments via gameday audio while reducing stress for administrators and saving money in the process. It's a win-win solution for all involved especially the student athlete.

Aaron Pitman
PRESIDENT & CEO
Originally from Indianapolis, Aaron Pitman is the President & CEO of the Mic'd Up brand. Among the most recognizable voices in the United States, Aaron has voiced games and events across the country for notable brands, including games in the NBA, NHL, MLV, NCAA, NAIA and USA Volleyball.

During the course of his career, Aaron has served as the voice for the NBA's Indiana Pacers, the NHL's New Jersey Devils, Major League Volleyball's Indy Ignite, the NBA G-League's Noblesville Boom (Affiliate of the Indiana Pacers).
​
In the collegiate space, Aaron has served as PA voice for Auburn University, Bellarmine University, IU-Indianapolis, and the University of Indianapolis. Aaron has also been the voice of NCAA Championship events.
​
Aaron travels each summer with USA Volleyball to provide PA services for events nationwide for local, club, and national teams. In 2026, Aaron served as the voice for the Volleyball League of America Championships in Orlando, FL.
​
Additionally, Aaron serves as the voice of schools nationwide through the Mic'd Up VIRTUAL ANNOUNCER program.
​
Lastly, Aaron serves as the voice of the IHSCGA State Championships each winter, has voiced numerous marching band, winter guard and winter percussion programs, and has provided voiceover work for podcasts and commercials.

In 2025, Aaron served as the voice of the inagural MLV All-Star Match to a sold-out venue and broadcast nationally on CBS.​​
